Sinful Colors!!

Sinful Colors...just LOVE that brand name.  Makes my obsession sound so exciting and...dare I say it, SINFUL!

Saturday, I went to Walgreen's to pick up some nails and they had SC on sale 2/$3.  Oh yeah, Happy Easter to ME.

I picked up these beauties:

L-R: Pink Forever, Firefly, Mint Apple, Morning Star, Amethyst and Cinderella.

Not a bad haul, huh?

Yesterday, Julep posted the picture on the left as the "Nail of the Day" on their facebook page.  I immediately took off the nails I had on and put on a new set to try my own version of it.

I was in a hurry, so it's best that the photo is from a bit of a distance.  ;)

I used Cover Girl Violet Vison as the light base, followed by China Glaze Harmonh in the middle and topped with Sinful Colors Let's Talk for the dark tips.

A Long Break

I noticed that it had been a month between my last two posts.

I've simply been uninspired and lazy. 

Since we moved to Austin, TX last September, I've been looking for work.  I've had a couple nibbles, but nothing has panned out.  This has been a serious detriment to my ego and my brain keeps thinking "What is wrong with me!?!?"

Therefore, the thought of coming up with cool new things to do with my nails has really been on a back burner.  Until a friend of mine posted a photo of the "Converse" nails that I did on my own nails yesterday.  It's kind of lit the fire under me again and I hope to be "back in the saddle" as they say and posting more regularly.  :)

Shellac?

I was at Wal Mart today and saw a "shellac" kit.  It had the polish and a mini UV light in it.  It was around $50.

Have any of you seen this?  Tried it?  I'm interested to know how/if it works.  I have my own UV light and haven't had the money to try the Shellacs from CND yet...

Kiss!!

SO so happy. I found "my" Kiss nails at Walgreens today. They are very definitely different than the ones I got at my HEB grocery store. I don't know why they are different, but the sizes and the shape are VERY different. I feared that the ones I got at HEB were the only ones that were made now. Relieved!!!

Decals!!

Sorry I haven't been posting lately.  Busy house/kid sitting for friends and now getting ready for a trip.

I was looking for some decals today and found Pretty Girly Girl and flipped out!!  I have a long list of stuff I *NEED* to get.  ;)
